Mrs. Gorkin
I am blessed to have found you and your school. Originally, I was looking for a school where I could do whatever I wanted. I hoped for a distant relationship between students and authority. My spirituality was low and I was heading down the path of destruction. I didn't want to be Jewish anymore. I didn't know much about Bnos Chomesh and decided to give it a try. The more videos I watched about the students and school, the more excited I was to become part of it. The videos showed me that I wouldn't be judged. The girls seemed relaxed and had pride in their school that I would later come to have too.
I can't find words for the gratitude I have. I am so lucky to have been saved.
A grateful student of Bnos Chomesh, Everyone has their reasons for believing in G-d; my reason is your school. G-d gave me the confidence to ask a random stranger which school she went to ( something I'd never do). And without a second thought, I applied to Chabad school in Crown Heights where I knew no one. Somehow it all worked out. I'm sure you know BCA is very different from the average high school. I don't know how many students realized how lucky they are. Mrs. Gorkin, your school is the reason for my health, spirituality and love for Judaism. I cannot thank you enough.I wish you could see how my face light up when someone asks me what high school I went to. I have to hold myself back from telling them all about BCA; What an amazing school it is.
Thank you for all that you've done for me.I will always have a place in my heart for Bnos Chomesh.
Forever grateful, Dina
Mrs. B. (Parent)

My dream as a child was to attend a school that offered a great education and had a good extra curriculum. It was very difficult for me to have to suppress my creative side in elementary school so I was very happy to find and attend Bnos Chomesh Academy in high school! To me personally, it was a dream come true, but I got a lot more than I wished for. The teachers were all so great at catering to each student individually and always offered their free time to help students understand anything that was unclear to them in class.
My principal, Mrs. Gorkin, managed to have a unique relationship with all her
students, she was way more than just a principal, she was a friend, a role model
and a life coach. Whenever I was having a hard time in school she helped me stay calm and collected and gave me the confidence I needed to get through whatever it was.
Chanale Chanin always brought so much enthusiasm to school that helped us get through any cloudy day. As students we were respected and our requests and needs were taken seriously. I'm always confident when telling people I went to the best high school ever, because there is no question about it, I most definitely did!
Sincerely,
A grateful student of Bnos Chomesh,
Esther (Student)
Ever since the day I stepped foot into Bnos Chomesh, my life has taken a 180 degree turn for the better in every way imaginable. I have found peace of mind, I have made my connection with the Rebbe, and most importantly, I have personally accepted Hashem's role in my life. I can genuinely say Bnos Chomesh and its amazing staff is
what got me there. So lthough we can't always see why Hashem does BS”D the things He does, sometimes, we are
privileged with a little peek.

Hi Mrs. Gorkin!
I hope that all is well in Crown Heights and in Bnos Chomesh! Thank you so much for the letter and please send my best regards to everyone in school :) Being in seminary this year made me realize a lot of things and I wanted to tell you that I see where my life began. My life began in your school because that was the first year of my life that I wasn't
just another person swallowed up in a big world, but I was an individual who was expected to be more than what I have been before and to use my potential for only good things. When I had to choose references for seminary, the first person that came to mind was you, because you were the first one to see me make something of myself. Your school showed me what it means to be strong.
In seminary, I've been involved in the community work that is required of an OC girl and I have grown in ways I never thought I would. I stopped listening to secular music since the beginning of seminary and I've realized how lucky I am to have been given such great opportunities to better myself. Pesach has arrived and I will stay in Melbourne I"yh. A girl in my seminary just asked me to join her on shlichus next year
and I don't know if you remember, but I never thought in a million years that I would
ever consider such an option because I just thought I would go to college and that's it! I guess things change…
Now I find myself writing to you and coming back to the memories of one of the best years of my life and I thank you for that. Now, with the new stage in my life, I find myself giving you as a reference yet again because your school is where it began. Thank you! May Hashem bless you with a kosher un frelichen Pesach and may Hashem bless you with all the success and nachas in the world.
With Love,
Chaya (Teacher)

Dear Mrs. Gorkin
I just want you to know how much you altered my life.
I frankly have no clue where I’d be without Bnos Chomesh. Thank you for helping me work not only on my academic subject but also, and mostly, on my character traits. My difficult time in a large classroom environments made me feel incompetent, after being in Bnos Chomesh I understand that there are other ways to get the same work done. BCA gave me a sense of belonging and security that I hope to carry with me when I graduate.
